The forensic science program welcomes Erika Winter

We are delighted to welcome Erika Winter to the forensic science program. As an adjunct faculty member, Erika will be teaching the forensic microscopy courses. 

Erika Winter was born and raised in Mexico City where she attended the Academia Maddox parochial school. After developing an interest in Forensic Science at a young age, she began researching collegiate programs across the United States that would best suit her aspirations of becoming a forensic scientist. She enrolled at Eastern Kentucky University and graduated in 2007, obtaining a B.S. in Forensic Science with a Biology concentration. Erika has worked at Lexmark International in Lexington, Kentucky where she performed quality control test on polymers, inks, coatings and adhesives. Currently she is the R&D Team Leader for color development in the Aerospace and Automotive division at The Sherwin Williams Company in Richmond, Kentucky. Her interests in Forensic Science include microscopy, serology and DNA profiling.
